The severely neglected dogs, now known as the ‘Three Musketeers,’ were extremely malnourished.
The tan and white dog also had bite marks and other wounds.

The Cuse Pit Crew advocacy group says one person has been arrested in connection with the neglect of that dog. Police are still trying to figure out what happened to the other two that were found at separate locations.

In light of these abuse cases, the Syracuse Common Council has decided to host a public meeting at City Hall on Thursday at 4 p.m. to address the issue and come up with a way to stop the abuse.

The Cuse Pit Crew president says she's grateful that the council is recognizing the need for change and adds that it’s not just about the animals.

"This impacts our entire community. It impacts, what are our youth seeing? How are they interacting with animals? And just our overall compassion in the community," said Stefanie Higgins, president of Cuse Pit Crew.

Police are asking anyone who recognizes these pit bulls, or has information about who owns them, to call investigators at (315) 442-5200.
