SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse's Hancock International Airport is bracing for the weather's impact.

Airport officials say Hancock will do its part to keep flights running smoothly, but ultimately, flight cancellations and delays are in the hands of the airlines.

Syracuse's Aviation Commissioner says it could be weather issues in other cities that have the biggest impact on flight schedules out of Syracuse.

"If you do have a flight scheduled to Boston or Cleveland or any of those area that that could be impacted, while we may not see the effect here as much, the domino effect from other airports will be felt here," Syracuse Aviation Commissioner Christina Callahan.

Airport officials advise anyone who is traveling in the next few days to check the status of their flights ahead of time. Visit www.syrairport.org.
