CHEMUNG COUNTY, N.Y. -- Students in the Elmira City School District learn all about the consequences of bullying, as a special guest visited the school Friday.

Southside High School and Ernie Davis Middle School students watched a documentary titled 'Bullied.' The film featured Jamie Nabozny and his story of verbal and physical bullying during his middle and high school years.

Nabozny spoke to kids during the day and found a lot of unaddressed issues amongst the classes.

Safe School Advocate Jamie Nabozny said, "There's a lot of kids that suffer greatly. There's a lot of kids that have told me that they've thought about suicide, that they've attempted suicide because of what's happening to them here. And, we absolutely need to step up as a community and do something about it, change the climate in the schools and role model the behaviors we want our students to exhibit."
