BIG BEAR, Calif. -- The manhunt for an ex-cop who investigators say declared war on the Los Angeles Police Department continued Friday in a mountain setting about a two hours east of Los Angeles.

Police released new photos of Christopher Jordan Dorner, 33, Friday night. Dorner is wanted for the murder of two people last weekend. He's also accused of ambushing two Los Angeles Police Department officers in Riverside, California early Thursday morning. One of the officers has died.

More than 100 officers have zeroed in on the area around Big Bear Lake, where Dorner's burned pickup truck was found Thursday.

Officers checked vacant cabins and searched the fresh snow for tracks. Investigators believe he may still be in the area plotting his next move.

In a manifesto posted online, Dorner vowed to harm police officers and their families as revenge, for what he says was his unfair firing from the Los Angeles Police Department in 2008.

He's considered heavily armed and dangerous.
