Two men accused of ammonia theft

CAYUGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Two people are accused of stealing chemicals used to manufacture meth in Cayuga County.

According to Sheriff's deputies, Timothy Hickey, 34, of Corning and Casey Aldrich, 33, of Elkland, Pennsylvania were arrested in the town of Venice. They are accused of stealing anhydrous ammonia from tanks located on a Shields Road farm.

Both men were charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree.

Hickey was sent to the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail. Aldrich was already on parole in Pennsylvania. He was held without bail.
