SYRACUSE, N.Y. - After allowing 16 goals in its season-opening loss, the No. 18 Syracuse men's lacrosse team rebounded to tie a Carrier Dome record by allowing just two in a 6-2 victory over Army on Sunday.
Sophomore goalie Bobby Wardwell made 11 saves and senior defender Brian Megill held Army's Garrett Thul without a point, ending Thul's streak of 42 games with a goal which had been the longest in the country.
Syracuse next hosts No. 6 Virginia Friday night beginning at 6 p.m.
