BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Binghamton Mayor Matt Ryan is getting ready to give his 2013 State of the City Address. Mayor Ryan will deliver the speech at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the City Council Chamber.

The mayor says the city has an ambitious agenda that he hopes will keep Binghamton moving in a positive direction Among the talking points during Wednesday's address will be the modernization of City Hall into a 21st century workplace. He will also discuss many of the city's past accomplishments from grants and awards to getting more members of the public involved in city government.

"Part of it is just summarizing what we've accomplished in the seven plus years and what legacy we are leaving and asking that that progressive, really proactive form of government continues in our valley, ‘cause we've made a lot of progress with it," said Mayor Ryan.

This will be Mayor Ryan's eighth and final State of the City Address.
