SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Organizers say the seventh annual CNY in Bloom show is going to be the biggest yet. Space on the arena floor sold out for the first time ever this year.
Visitors are going to have a lot to check out when the show begins tonight, including the garden landscape displays that are the centerpieces of the show.
We found vendors setting up the displays and booths yesterday. Organizers say this is really a one-stop shop for anyone who wants to start a landscaping project or even people who want to spruce up their existing gardens but are stuck for ideas. They'll be able to talk to landscapers, buy supplies, and hear from speakers on a variety of topics.
Vendors say its not too soon to start thinking about spring.
Ballantyne Gardens owner Tim Ballantyne said, "Get out of the house, come here, walk, smell our beautiful flowers, look at the trees and the shrubs, see the hardscaping that's here and start to envision it. Start to think about your house. How do I want my yard to look this year? How do I want to plan for it? We still have another month of good planning time, so now's the time to get in, see these beautiful gardens."
The seventh annual CNY in Bloom opens tonight at 5 p.m. Admission is normally $9 for adults, but today adults and seniors get in for $7, students 13-18 are $5, and kids 12 and under are free. The show runs through Sunday.
