TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Three people are dead following a crash in the Town of Newfield. The sheriff's office said the pickup truck was headed west on Connecticut Hill Road around 1:45 Sunday morning when the truck rolled onto its roof and into a pond.

Casey Casterline, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene. Christopher Bamforth, 47, and Stefanie Knowlton, 44, were taken to Cayuga Medical where they were pronounced dead.

No word on the circumstances that led up to the crash.
